Sam has been a practicing attorney in Colorado since 1986. In the early years Sam worked with her small firm that specialized in family law, business law, probate, and general practice matters. Once he went on his own, Sam found his niche in the family law area. Sam is practiced in the areas of dissolution of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, Guardian ad litem work, as well as cases involving modification of child support and modification of maintenance. Recently, Sam finished up six years is a family court facilitator in the first judicial District. In this capacity, Sam was responsible for holding status conferences for parties at the beginning of their dissolution of marriage cases. He was also responsible for setting policies for the pro se parties and four monitoring their progress through the system. He was a member of the Colorado Springs courts standing committee on family law issues, and served on the subcommittee which drafted the current sworn financial statement used in family law cases. After working with over 12,000 families, Sam has returned to private practice in El Paso County. Sam is very excited about the use of the Internet and making it legal services more affordable and more streamlined. Sam is still active on the access to justice committee and the first judicial District. It is his belief that the use of the Internet at, and limited representation will help not only the parties to family law cases, but the court system as well which is bending under the weight of the unrepresented parties.
